The town of Natick is withholding the details of the crimes that have been reported to them in the two police reports noted in the letter below. It is believed that these police reports detail two assaults by Natick Firefighter Michael Abbruzzese against young women, while on dates, while intimate, cutting chunks of their long hair off.
Abbruzzese was raised in Natick, is the son of a now retired Newton Police officer, and he is the brother of a current Natick Police officer. Both he and his brother were Natick football stars, and both played for Nichols College in Dudley, each taking a turn as captain of the team.
At the age of 22, Abbruzzese was hired by the town on Natick as a firefighter and at the time of his hiring, it was announced that he would be attending the Firefighting Academy in early 2019. Both Abbruzzese brothers were hired by the town of Natick immediately out of college at the age of 22. Jared Abbruzzese was hired as a police officer, and Michael as a firefighter. While this is only wild speculation, an alleged high school DUI, where Michael was arrested and not charged, may have played into why only one brother is a police officer.
The assault and disfigurement attacks by Abbruzzese have always followed the same pattern. The attacks would occur during what started as a consensual sexual encounter, but it would involve a premediated attack element.
Abbruzzese reportedly would place a pair of scissors under the pillow of his partner, and when the girl was indisposed, whether during intercourse or a specific act of foreplay, her hair would be grabbed and he would scissor a chunk off. From sources close to the victims, in two cases, the sexual encounters start as consensual, and would become rough and degrading.
It is believed that the first of the two reports came in May of 2021, and the second in July. The town refused to take any action until we started investigating. Abbruzzese was an active firefighter until Mid-August when we posted our story. He is currently on paid administrative leave. He has two charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon filed against him, under two separate court cases, signifying two victims.
