CPA Fund Eligibility Approved for projects submitted by City departments and employees, and denied for the non-connected

As we expected – the moment that CPA applications were taken – that the money would be immediately used to pay for things the city wanted – but could not use taxpayer monies on – but could use CPA taxpayer monies on.

8 projects were submitted to the CPC for eligibility determination – ones that determined eligible were submitted by the city, by city director level employees, of by major donors to the mayor, and appear to be pet projects pre-selected by members of the Community Preservation Commission – this last one – prohibited – but in this case it appears that having city employees submit them for people like CPC member Steve Weisman and chairperson Thom Mahoney – makes it permissible – and projects eligible.

Projects that the city wants to do, but is unable to use taxpayer funds for – does not mean they should be allowed to take CPA monies for these purposes – which is essentially money taken from taxpayers, put into a state slush fund, and redistributed to the city earmarked for specific types of projects.

This proposal is by a resident seeking $25,000 for community gardens – of course it was denied.

This one was submitted and approved. It was submitted by major Sisitsky supporter, and who was put on the mayors transition team. She is the chair of the disability commission. We support this project and a benefit for the community at a small cost of just $75,000.

This one submitted by major Sisitsky campaign donor, good for $500 during his campaign, Friends of Saxonville chair, member of the mayor’s transition team. This application submitted by Ron Chick – seeking $150,000-170,000 – was approved.

This one was submitted by a local artist – seeking only $25,000 – and was denied as ineligible. He should have donated some money to Charlie in advance.

This one was submitted by James Snyder, the director of parks and recreation and is seeking half a million dollars and was approved.

This one also submitted by James Snyder seeking $250,000 and was approved as eligible.

This one submitted by Sarkis Sarkisan – the director of Community Development for the city, and a old friend of the mayor. Seeking millions and millions of dollars, and seemingly submitted by current CPC members Thom Mahoney and Steve Weisman – approved as eligible.

On the plus side – in five years after abuse of the CPC and CPA funds – we can vote it away – but not before the city gets money from taxpayers, to use on projects they can’t get approval to use real tax monies on.
