Documented in Evidence: One man’s quest to end a FHS coaching career

Yesterday we posted a teaser stating, “Did Bob Berman singlehandedly launch a campaign to get a FHS varsity coach fired? Details Coming…” Within minutes of our post, Berman himself responded:

And shortly there after, a Berman defender chimed in with:

I’m sorry what??? Helped raise a wonderful family, that’s your opinion… And defamation. One we asked a question…. and two we have evidence backing up… a question. Ellen – you totally are a moron. That’s opinion too.

We’ll get to that evidence soon enough…

But let us remind our readers that Bob Berman helped rob local and regional taxpayers by covering up a felony embezzlement at a school on which he chairs the Board of Trustees, McAuliffe Regional Charter School, in which – a high level employee stole $50,000+, and wired the money to lenders immediately before buying a house in Marlborough.

Read all about the coverup, and what we believe to be dishonesty by Berman, when we exposed the crime and coverup – months after it happened. Read about what Berman told the Source when they reached out to him, and learn about what the evidence really says. CLICK LINK BELOW.

So now, it should be apparent if you read the article above that Berman that Berman and a select few board of directors members, worked to cover up a crime, keeping the matter from other board members. We believe that of the 9 board members, only three knew of the truth, one of which was the City Solicitor at the time – the active coverup, and how the other members found out about it when FU exposed it.

They literally allowed a fraud to happen and didn’t press charges. It was so bad that the state Atty General investigated not the crime, but the school’s response.

Now that we’ve thoroughly discredited Bob Berman, and shown that he has a history of lying about stuff, lets get back to the Framingham varsity basketball coach, a few weeks ago, to Facebook, Jason Gosselin posted a heartfelt goodbye.

It seemed so out of place and unexpected, that we had to do some more digging into why Gosselin was suddenly leaving.

We knew in the past, that Bob Berman had been vocal about his kid not getting play time. He had complained publicly that the coach could not see obvious talent, and not just his kid’s.

Berman coached his kid in youth programs. Once at FHS the dad/son dynamic is over. A player will need to show skill and talent in order to play. Parents judge from the bleachers and generally think more of their kids skillset than those paid to coach.

Lets revisit Berman’s response to FU yesterday:

The evidence below will show that Berman and Berman alone was the only one writing to the school superintendent about Gosselin… and the Berman’s statement above, that he is glad that the coach is gone… is intent. Intent + the only one writing letters = ???

So let me ask you all once again…

The documents below are all the emails to the School Superintendent, Bob Tremblay, on the topic of Jason Gosselin. Quite telling… and even more telling that there was no resignation letter, indicative of either a contract not being renewed or a firing.

THE REQUEST SUBMITTED 6/2/2023:

Seeking the resignation letter for Jason Gosselin. Seeking any emails in which the School Superintendent was involved regarding Jason Gosselin in April and May 2023

THE RESPONSIVE DOCUMENTS 6/6/2023:

There is no responding document for your first request.  The emails you are requested are attached and have been redacted under the following exemption(s): Exemption (c) personnel and medical files or information; also any other materials or data relating to a specifically named individual, the disclosure of which may constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy G. 1. Certainly sounds like another meddling parent trying to get involved in school sport scene, little junior was star of the rec league but timed out when he got up with the big boys. Happens all the time, not everyone gets a trophy in HS. Bob, sure you are proud of your son, let him become a man on his own, he quit the team because he didn’t want to sit, he made that decision. Imagine David Blatt at Princeton back in 1981 Captain but not getting anytime, he sucked it up and watched and learned, didn’t quit. Became a well respected coach. BTW HS basketball in this area has certainly fallen on hard times, where has the Rufus Harrises and Brady Oteys, Davis Blatts, Al Edmonds gone. Smokey was from my era Grealey was coach they had some great teams, North was just stating out but they were good too.
