Raising Cane’s Restaurants, LLC is seeking to open a restaurant on Cochituate Rd, a 3400 sq ft retail location with two drive throughs and outdoor seating. The planning board has this proposal in it’s crosshairs and will have its first public hearing on it on Dec 21, 2023 at 7PM. The lots involved are 231, 253, and 257 Cochituate Road. The Raising Cane’s will essentially be on the lot that once was the parking lot for the Aegean Restaurant. The old Aegean Restaurant will be demolished, and being this current proposal is being developed and presented by the restaurant itself, further site development will take place by other parties.

Also on the site you will notice that the plans call for a one story “potential development to be designed and permitted by others”. This buiding will be built right where the Aegean currently stands. It will be just about 3000 sq ft, be a single story tall, and in the Geotechnical Engineering Report which can be read HERE, the building is further described as a “bank/office. So we are expecting two structures to be built on this property. The Raising Cane’s and a bank of some sort.
The legal ad for the Raising Cane’s public hearing has yet to be published in the newspapers, and but it is scheduled for December 6th.
