A 87 year old Ashland man caused and fled the scene of a crash on December 20, 2023. He was caught shortly after involved in another crash a few blocks down the road. He appears to have been driving with his 87 year old wife in the passenger seat. The couple were travelling in a 2001 Chevy.
In the other vehicles was a 74 year old man from Framingham in a 2020 Chevy, a 64 year old woman from Framingham in a 2007 Toyota, and a 39 year old man from Sudbury in a 2023 Hyundai.
Per the FOIA request filed by the perpetrator, their Chevy PT Cruiser was totaled, and both were transported to the hospital.
In the crash report for the final accident, claims that faulty or nonworking brakes caused him to run… Even if this was true, it would not explain accelerating to near highway speeds on our DTF roads.
