Earlier this month, a Framingham realty business owner, via a plea agreement, she pled guilty to swindling the federal government out of $450,000 in pandemic relief funds. These funds were loans intended to fund payrolls and keep small businesses operational during the pandemic. Between April 2020 and November 2022, she filed multiple applications through various business names under her, including Mass Homes Investments LLC and Alpha Auto Body Inc. She falsified tax documents to obtain federal funds. She faces up to 30 years in prison, and fines up to $1,000,000. She will be sentenced in June.
She under probation until sentencing under the terms that she does not apply for any loans, that she relinquish her passport, and does not travel internationally.
