FOIA DUMP: Framingham to declare a Climate Emergency
Well, OK. But now you have to put your money where your mouth is. If it is indeed an emergency, then it needs to take a higher priority of less emergency issues. Like not spend 5 million on a new swimming pool. Or cut down on city vehicles- does the library really need a pickup truck? And oh, how many miles per gallon does that bookmobile get? Maybe the parks should skip a mow every so often, or the city insist that any yard signs be totally recyclable. Declaring an emergency should only be done when people are ready to do away with some of their pet projects that, like it or not, are not really necessary, and will contribute more emissions
