THE TIP:
“Tony Tolson was appointed to the Park and Rec Commission 3 years ago by Spicer. He applied several times and city council did not appoint him. She kept nominating him even though Judy Grove applied at the same time. The last time was after the deadline but this time city council voted for him. He has a conflict of interest because his son works for Park and Rec. Why did city council vote for this guy and why is this conflict of interest OK?
Tony is really nice and a name in local sports. But there are better candidates without conflict of interest.
His term expired in June. Time for status quo or to do the right thing?”
