A long dead plan to bring commuter rail service to FSU – may be getting reconsidered?

This proposal was first considered in 2006, and revisited in the 2008 Framingham Master Plan Part 1. There is an indication that this may be getting revisited.

  1. Having gone to FSU, I can tell you this is probably not a good idea. When you commute to school, you HAVE to be there on time. The current rail system is not too great at sticking to a schedule. Few people will choose to rely on an intermittent rail service to get to class. Especially as there will probably be not that many trains a day. Also, just consider the cost of such a thing, and look at how many students ‘might’ use it. At best case it will be a crazy amount of money per student.
