Tax payer money wasted on buildings and rail trails. How many vacant buildings does the city own now? Big money was spent on that sewer pump station on A St when it could of been a third of the size. My understanding is that the building has drive through garages, office space, (already equipped with desks and computers) a conference room, locker rooms, showers and the list goes on. Why? Is this building being utilized to its full potential?
Why don’t they sell, rehab and utilize these spaces?
While the city officials are foot lose and fancy free with peoples money, the good men and women that are on the front lines, that interact with people, actually provide the services that the residents are paying for are leaving the city. Over the years management has gotten fat off there six figure salaries with know accountability.
The Police, Fire and Dpw employees get 1% raises. They have to work longer hours, pick up details, and part time jobs just to survive. Not to get ahead, to survive.
Other city’s and towns are paying a lot more. Usually 7 to 10 dollars an hour for entry level positions. They love hiring Framingham employees. Shame on you Charlie.
The resident tax payer is getting the wool pulled over their eyes.
People, wake up. Your services are being cut and you aren’t seeing it yet. The city’s assets are being neglected because the city does not have the staff to maintain.
It’s time to start taking care of the people that take care of you.
Here we go again under the last administration if this proposal had come up the CC would have laughed in their faces, this is 40 years too late the town back then in their wisdom chose to call Dennis Paul’s bluff, they wanted the land but didn’t want to pay its value. 3 man select board knew better. He will never build anything there they were told Dennis was not big time, now the price is 2 million and we get the COO (expert, yikes) to tell us lets do this well worth it. They are not telling you what has to be sunk into the building to make it usable. Sure great location we know that! You are going to hear new windows, upgrade the Heating and AC. Redesign of offices is a sure thing, whatever offices are moved there won’t be good enough as is. Taxpayer money will be spent. figure 5 million more of monies required and that’s a conservative estimate.
The speed this is going through the mill makes me laugh CC needs to show some testicular fortitude I respect Dr Steiner he at least asks questions, the rest just say Mr Mayor (thank you sir may I have another) 78 years in town this is the worst, moral at its lowest, check the rosters this is becoming a real joke, driven by two people I have mentioned before. Charlie time to man up get rid of the problem spend to the foundation (your employees) before they have to hand out snowblowers and shovels for the the CC. (Mikey toy Cannon) needs a little shovel, Louise will be checking invoice for that one for sure, just list it under special project.
