On March 30, 2023, the city’s COO, Michael Tusino, filed a notification to the state informing the Department of Environmental Protection of a reportable release of oil, which occurred in early January. It is estimated that at least 2 cubic yards of soil are affected. The city also marked the source of the leak as unknown.
