At approximately 1:30 pm on October 3rd, at the Musterfield, a Framingham Housing Authority property, shots rang out, and shortly thereafter police and detectives were all over the place.

An area outside the buildings was taped off with crime scene tape:

Detectives went door to door to all the housing units, seeking information from residents who may have seen or heard something useful.

It was reported to us that the victim was shot and was transported to the hospital. The victim may have been a 15 year old teenager.

It was also reported, that via traffic cameras, the shooter took off at a high rate of speed in a black or dark gray Honda sedan, possibly a Civic, the license plate could not be easily read in the videos. The vehicle has a dog bone bumper sticker on the right rear bumper. If the vehicle is seen, call FPD.

McCarthy and Fuller schools, both in the area, McCarthy was locked down and Fuller was not. Students at McCarthy were told that there was a large and dangerous animal outside and the students had to remain inside.

At approximately 4:30 the Framingham Police released the following statement:

At approximately 5pm on the next day, October 4th, the police reported that the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, and two juveniles and one adult were arrested in relation to the event. Their charges include, armed assault to murder, attempted assault and battery with a firearm, discharging a firearm within 500ft of a building, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammo without a FID card, and accessory after the fact.

The adult arrested is Mikese R Jackson, 18, of 78 A Second Street, the offense location is listed as Pearl Harbor Road and not as Flagg Drive where the police have been reporting as the site. He was arrested at approximately 10:20pm on the evening following the shooting. It appears that the city made an error in releasing the suspect’s name as a duplicate version of the police log showed the info below, completely redacted. Oops.

The day following this arrest, there was heavy police presence near Interfaith Apartments, which is near the home address of Mikese Jackson, and could have been related to one of the two juvenile arrests.
