Last month, John Reardon of Millis, MA, formerly a long term resident of a SMOC shelter in Framingham, called threatening and hateful messages into several synagogues south of the Boston area. At the time of his arrest he was living in a SMOC facility in Millis. See our Jan 29th post, ‘Man calling in threats to synagogues had Framingham ties‘ He was arrested and spent about a week in Federal Custody awaiting the completion of a detention hearing. On February 2nd, through his attorney, Reardon asked for release, and the United States attorney’s office said no. On February 7th Reardon was released after the court “heard from the parties as to the conditions proposed by probation. Court advised the defendant of his rights and his conditions of release. A colloquy was conducted. The court released the defendant on conditions and an unsecured bond”.
