Based on the attached Facebook post by the Town of Ashland on January 21 2022 and the subsequent emails you have obtained showing communication between Herbert and Rossi in December 2021 she had significant heads up before the process was officially announced which is unethical and maybe even illegal.
Plus she was using Town of Natick resources to seek this new employment.
Additionally reviewing the emails, Herbert replied to only one email, which leads me to believe there were significant phone calls and text messages.
I would FOIA all phone logs, text messages and correspondences for Herbert on those days in question (dates of the emails). Not just to Rossi, but to who he was communicating with that whole day, phone records and logs specifically.
Any phone calls to her would be suspicious and unethical based on content on the emails and timing.
Additionally the article was posted on Ashland Rants the other day on Facebook and her family (brother John Rossi) was vigorously defending her.
Joseph Magnani a current Ashland Selectman was liking all these posts supporting her.
I would FOIA his town email and any and all communication between Him, Herbert and Rossi and the other Selectmen.
He’s a buffoon and wouldn’t know how to not avoid FOIA.
