Plans for (Russian) Supermarket coming to Cochituate Road

- March 10, 2022 - Frank Wood

They call themselves a international market, but if you have ever shopped at any of the BazaAr Supermarkets locally – you will see that they are heavily Russian. They reported yesterday that they will stop stocking Russian imported products to show support for the Ukranians. The company has Ukranian employees with families in Ukraine and is planning to help by “sending food to a refugee camp.”

Here are the plans. The location is the former Framingham Beer Works

You will find almost nothing to eat in this store if you do not hail from Russia or its surrounding countries. I know from my one and only stop at Newton’s Baza store. I wanted to buy a cheese dip and an onion dip. They do not stock those common items.
