Sewage discharge into wetlands & Sudbury River from 74 Main Street?

We have reason to believe that it is not just a culvert issue as shown in the document below, but that at 74 Main Street Rear, that there is also a sewer line break that has been discovered and it has been draining into the wetlands and into the Sudbury River.

74 Main Street Rear is the Hamilton Plaza West property shown below.

  1. The damaged culvert was noticed when the city responded to a sewer forced main break. The sewer break was reported by a pump station employee while preforming there daily checks of the pump station. That pump station is fed by several other pump stations threw out the city. All the proper state agencies were notified and all the paperwork required by the state was filled out by the next morning. The pipe was excavated, repaired and that station was back on line in about 7 hours. Record time compared to other cities and towns.
A big Thank You should go out to the men and women of the Dpw that missed time away from there families, to get that particularly tough job done.
