This is FU

WHY: It was reported to us that a bus driver was assaulted by a student on March 22nd. The bus driver stopped the bus. Tricia DiSalle FPS Transportation Director purportedly came on the radio and berated, bullied, and belittled the driver demanding the driver continue her route. The driver instead drove right back to the middle school and would not move, would not drive, she would not do anything. Still on the radio, DiSalle continued bullying the driver, going as far as to threaten. NRT Bus, the transportation contractor, was purportedly very upset, and their boss was purportedly on the radio as well, reaming DiSalle , telling her that the safety of the driver trumps the need of students to get home. Police were called.

THE REQUEST: Any emails between Trisha DiSalle any anyone on 3/22/2022 and 3/23/2022. Please exclude any emails that contain a recipient or sender who is a parent. We are only looking for emails where she emails another FPS employee, City employee, or NRT employee.

THE RESPONSE: The records you have requested have been redacted of information that is exempt under MGL ch. 4, §7 (26) (c) of the Public Records Law in that the records are personnel files or information and/or materials or data relating to specifically named individuals, the disclosure of which may constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy. 

NOTES: While we didn’t get the documents we wanted, and cannot prove one way or another that DiSalle is a berating bully, we did get some gems. We have some slightly different asks that yielded slightly different responsive documents – which will be released over the coming days.
