After what could be seen as a tumultuous term in office, as evidenced by angry text messages during city council meetings, insulting those who had opinions differing from her own, and calling those who were supposed to be on her side – disappointments… and a water & sewer enterprise fund fiasco – where millions of dollars went missing, burdening the taxpayers – Spicer did what any good politician does when they leave office, shred documentation of corrupt dealings, and spraying poo-pourri in her office to freshen up the place for the next guy. And most importantly for Spicer – the woman who loved to text – she factory reset her phone before turning it in.

This irked us, we had been asking for records off Spicer’s phone immediately after she left office, and we were coming back with no responsive documents. We couldn’t figure out why, so we asked PJ (Paul J Iverson) – and he responded with the above message.

We wondered who else had phones that needed to be turned in so we filed a FOIA.

We learned that our Chief Information Officer also broke the law by deleting everything off her phone. I wonder who suggested that she do that.

So we decided to make sure that Spicer and McFalls didn’t have permission some how to wipe out 4 years of data from their cell phones, perhaps from the state through the record destruction process.

Here’s the FOIA we filed:

In response we learned that during the period of 5/1/21-4/13/22 the city did have permission to delete records, and did ask permission. DPW and Police both went through proper channels and destroyed records appropriately. Spicer and McFalls however are criminals.

Here are the responsive documents to our request.
