The Applicant proposes to construct a six-story, mixed-use project consisting of 176 residential rental units with amenities, 3,120 SF of retail space, and garage parking. Building a mixed-use structure allows developers to circumvent otherwise rigid rules on building size, height, and lot coverage. Raymond Boghos, the developer seeks to put this large apartment a couple blocks from the Hollis/Concord/Waverley/MBTA – downtown intersection.
The planning board has the ability to request different design features, size restrictions, etc. There have been 1000 apartments approved for downtown and in various states of completion. There are another 1000 apartments planned, but not yet approved for downtown, which have yet to be presented to any of the boards or commissions.
The planning board will be discussing this plan and may require changes, but in order to have your voices heard, you must attend the meeting. This meeting will take place both in person and on Zoom.
If you plan to go in person, it will take place on Thursday August 18th, 2022 at 7pm in the Blumer Room (lower level) of the Memorial Building (city hall). If you plan on attending via Zoom, the link is HERE (password: 678178).
We hope to see you there
