Attention Coburnville – They’ve tapped out. 92 Winthrop to be sold, remaining blighted, and not developed (at least in the near term).

Instead of developing the property, and after getting permission for their design, and after violating building department permitting rules, 92 Winthrop Street is for sale again.

The owner fought like hell for ZBA permission to demo and rebuild for this non-confoming structure, for which there is no documentation on record of it being transitioned from a single family to a multi family. And which suffered a limited suspicious fire, rendering the whole building uninhabitable. And from what we hear, the city recently cited them for doing work with no permits…

It seems like they have given up after all that, and are selling the property… at a huge profit of course. The only thing that has changed in four years since Jaci Desouza and Solange Ferreira took ownership, is that a suspicious fire took place and immediately a really pretty plan came to be…. the dumping of trash and materials on the ground on the property and the ripping out of gas and electric meters, which we noticed on our drive by today.

The current owner, purchased it for $850,000 and is seeking to sell it for $1,500,000. The current owners live on the north side, in a property assessed at nearly a million dollars… as they leave a blighted property on the south side.

If you want to see what they had planned for the property – check out the link below from December 2022.
