Uncle Chungs to become U Dumpling House

266 Worcester Road, the restaurant which for decades has been operated as Uncle Cheungs, is about to change hands and become a Dumpling house.

To facilitate this change, the real estate located at 266 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA is being purchased by Feng Yan Li Chen, LLC for $1,575,000 if the liquor license transfer can be approved. The liquor license transfer hearing will occur on Monday June 26th. U Dumpling, Corp. DBA U Dumpling House will operate the business and lease the building from Feng Yan Li Chen LLC. U Dumpling will pay $10,000 per month to the landlord for use of the premises. Interestingly, Feng Yan Li Chen LLC is owned by Peng Li and Fenyan Chen and U Dumpling Corp, is owned by Feng Li. Both businesses were incorporated in April 2023.

The new business will be poaching two managers, one from a Boston establishment, and the other from AOI.

We won’t know the full details of the proposed establishment until they apply for their common victualler license… however we have proposed menus to share. We also know that they expect to be a 7 day establishment with hours as late as 11pm on the weekends.

  1. Will the new management have strict Gluten Free many options as the Uncle Cheung’s have had? It was the only place I would/could eat at a Chinese Restaurant because of Celiac…Will the Dumpling House be Celiac Friendly?
