Welcoming Doug’s Agrihood: Opening Event (and a lot of hot air) at Baiting Brook Farm

Last evening, Baiting Brook Farm hosted their grand opening celebration, an event seemed geared toward realtors from the Newton, Needham, Weston, and Wellesley areas to build excitement for things to come on the property.

Their goal, to attract uber-wealthy people who have been living in huge mansions and are big consumer with large carbon footprints, and convince them that buying a high end condo with solar panels, chickens and a vegetable garden will equalize their own lasting legacy and footprints on the earth.

However, who’ll be cleaning up the cow and horse manure, tending the animals and overseeing the veggie garden?? I’m sure the only time these people ever came to Framingham prior was to have a cup of chowdah at Legal.

Baiting Brook Farm is the vision of Doug Stephan, owner of the Eastleigh Farm in North Framingham. He purchased the Fafard Estate, after the death of his friend Howard Fafard, and after taking on two investors from active in the Newton and Wellesley areas, proposed his plan to create a lasting legacy for himself, and to make a hundred million bucks. This will essentially be Millwood, surrounded by horse and cow manure.
