Charity, Invictus Forever, Inc. in December 2020 purchased the Marian High School from Sean O’Mally representing the Catholic Archdiocese for $2,600,000. They intended to build a school/program for youth through young adulthood with autism spectrum disorders. The plan never came to fruition, and the city negotiated with the charity to purchase the building and grounds.
In late June, the city council met behind the closed doors of executive session and discussed the purchase and agreed to spend up to $5,000,000 to purchase the property, which is assessed at just over $8,000,000.
In Tuesday’s City Council meeting the Mayor alluded to this purchase and a future celebration for it.
