On Dec 4, 2023 in the United States District Court, Sarah Catherine E. Spaulding filed suit against the City, demanding a jury trial and punitive damages of $500,000,000. Of course in the complaint text itself, only $5,000,000 is demanded. This lawsuit has serious issues, and will likely be tossed before the city gets too deep in defending itself from this frivolous claim.
