In the early months of 2022 Fashionable Concepts applied for a Package Store License. This new entity did not already exist in Framingham and competed against a handful of established small businesses in Framingham for a license, made available due to census data, more specifically an increase in population. In the end Fashionable Concepts won the license. The won on the basis that this was a new and unique concept.

In this hearing on Feb 28, 2022, the plans were presented and the commissioners needed another few weeks to make a decision. On March 14th, it was discussed that this company in the past has built out stores specifically to sell them off. Fashionable Concepts vehemently denied that this was the plan… But looking back – it seems like it was. In this 6 minute video – we saw the future…. even if the board didn’t.

You’ll next see that the commissioners did ask all the right questions. The issue was more so that the commissioners bought the lies – hook, line, and sinker. The vote shows a uanminous approval, and a congratulations where the applicant responds with further lies.

Within two days of the vote as you saw in the video above… Fashionable Concepts was already trying to sell the license, including to the applicants who were denied the license – in favor of Fashionable Concepts merely days earlier.

All the while – Fashionable Concepts was telling the Framingham License Commissioners that they were working on their plan. While they mentioned business partners expressing interest in being involved in the project, the board didn’t know that they were actively trying to sell their license, or to sell the approved plan, and as we have learned – at no point was a lease finalized at the location that they were approved to run out of.

There are a ton of emails on dates proposed – but many are not terribly interesting, so we are posting just the most contentious ones, or ones leading up to contention.
