There is more to this story. There is rampant rumor “around town” that Herbert is actively engaging Karen Spilka (who Im sure helped get her dippy troll husband Joel S. Loitherstein hazmat license back when he lost it, see below) and other heavy state politicians to try to reverse this POST decision (which are not public the details). this is wrong on so many levels. It’s a sham like everything else in this state and town. Apparently “believe all women” and transparency only extends so far when it involves an incompetent woke DEI female chief hire who doesn’t take sex assault claims seriously from a female and intimidated the witness…..

WHAT is on the Agenda is giving Herbert a contract and a raise?! for this mis-managment and poor hiring promotion decisions (wait for it….)? Rumors abound this guys makes well over $200K a year maybe even $250k a year with secret bonuses. How does this town pay a town manager $50 to $60k or more! a year than the mayor of Framingham or Marlboro as an example. What the hell is this?!? this is like the dinky town in the movie Roadhouse run by Brad Wesley!
But the interesting piece of this is that during the run up to the chief office Rossi was publicly stroking and gushing over APD Officer Alberini openly commenting on facebook and public forums I believe FU even picked up on this or someone on the site did. Alberini is married to a Natick FF (well for the time being anyways see the attached public post…… he must take after his buddy Herbert in the skirt chasing department). In March 2023 he was promoted to Lt. See civil service list. I cannot find any public post or information about this promotion. Where do you ever see a dept NOT post about promotions. He was promoted on the same day as the Deputy Chief. No one has seen this guy or the dog around town since and rumors of some “medical retirement” and that there is known disciplinary pending, you have reported on this before….So Herbert owns this guy too and promoted him. Is anything above board?!?!
The connection to Natick FD is an obvious one with Chief Rossi’s fiancé Natick FF Union President, “Bathroom attendant” boyfriend as has been reported many times.
But it gets more interesting, numerous posts with Herbert tagged publicly he was recently in last week on Friday performing with resident of Ashland John Rossi, Chief Rossi brother. Does this pass the smell test with all this going on? They are brazenly acting like nothing is going on.
Does anyone in this flimsy fucking town have any integrity or honor to do the right thing or follow the law? I truly believe they are trying to make this go away. Look at who got his license back below, I’m sure she had no say in this “wink wink”. You think these morons want the first female police officer and Chief the state decertified on their watch?!?
Spilka’s husband got his license back after doing the following listed below.
Mind you, since that board was established when he lost his license in 2012 only 7 people have had it revoked, he admitted in the article it’s quite uncommon. His publicly available linkdein lists him as licensed currently doing the same work.
Way back machine on Spilka’s Husband (Ashland Residents) to refresh the readers memory…imagine being an uber woke liberal doing hazmat cleanup and they find that you did this:
“The board said Mr. Loitherstein repeatedly minimized the extent of contamination of his clients’ properties in his required reports to the state. In some cases he allegedly tried to blame contamination of his clients’ properties on neighbors.”
In Hudson, Loitherstein stopped cleanup before it was complete, failing to recognize a second fuel oil spill, the board said.
In Holliston, Loitherstein claimed his client’s contaminated property was outside a drinking water protection area near a town well when it was not, the board found.
According to executive session minutes, Loitherstein and his firm also tested pesticide levels at the Warren Woods property in Ashland during negotiations with seller Northeastern University. Loitherstein’s readings were later found to be incorrect.
